Are you currently feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to manage the challenges that life has brought your way? Do you find that these challenges have affected your ability to function as you once did? The thoughts that keep you awake at night and affect your ability to focus on daily tasks are things that can be managed over time. If any of this resonates with you, I am here to help. As we work together, you will learn healthy ways to cope by using tools structured to meet your needs that will help you return to a more balanced and fulfilled way of living.
My name is Kim Jackson, and I'm a licensed professional counselor and certified school counselor. I work with children, youth and adults.
I truly believe in getting to know each client's individual needs and tailoring my therapeutic approach to help them achieve their goals. I view my counseling style as eclectic - utilizing cognitive-behavioral, Gestalt, and narrative - with mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused approaches.
I have been trained in Biblical Counseling techniques and welcome clients who would like to explore their spirituality and faith.
I realize that deciding to attend counseling is a difficult decision. I offer free in-person consultations so you can come into the office, visit with me and see if I am a good fit for your needs. If I am not the best therapist for you, I will be happy to offer referrals to other therapists.
I do realize that often times you are coming to your appointment straight from work or taking the children to their activities. I strive to make the office space as relaxing and comfortable as possible. We have cold drinks and coffee or tea and a variety of snacks available for our clients.
